€145.00

Original personal wooden chest with the text “E.H.R. Denys Aalm. Aumônier.” written on the lid. This chest belonged to Denys René Joseph, born in Moorsele in 1887. He was consecrated as a priest in Bruges in 1912. In 1914 he served as a Brancardier and later that year he was appointed Adjunct-Aalmoezenier. Later in the war he was wounded.

The chest is in used but good condition, and the wood has been treated against woodworm.

There is information available online about his life during and after the war. Upon purchase, the link will be shared with you. I do not own this information.
