Belgian M31 Adrian Helmet

€235.00

Original Belgian M31 Adrian helmet, size 61. Aside from being a size 61, which is quite uncommon, this helmet features a heavy brushstroke overpaint. The helmet retains its original paint, with a second, more matte brush-applied layer on top, which is common on Belgian M31 helmets. However, examples with such a heavily applied brushstroke in a more khaki tone are rarely seen.
On the inside rim of the helmet, there is a very faint name written in pencil, which has unfortunately become unreadable due to age and use. The aluminium comb shows some dents, which is typical for Belgian Adrian helmets, and the lion badge is original to the helmet but slightly loose.
The liner is still present and clearly marked by the maker “J. Fonson, Bruxelles, 61,” but it is missing one flap and the drawstring. The chinstrap is also present, but it has broken into two pieces and is somewhat dry, though it remains flexible.

Overall, this is a solid example showing honest wear, with several unique and interesting features.
