Belgian Uniform Lot of the Militair Gerecht
An original Belgian pre-war lot belonging to a higher officer of the Militair Gerecht.
The lot consists of the m35 jacket, trousers, kepi, a photograph, and a comb which was found in one of the pockets.
The jacket is very well made, with some interesting details and beautifully embroidered insignia of the militair gerecht. The trousers are still neatly pressed, although the back cinch has unfortunately been removed. No original removable epaulettes are present. Overall, everything is still in good condition, showing normal signs of wear and use.
The kepi shows more wear compared to the uniform. The visor is still attached but loose on the isnide, the kepi has lost some of its shape, and the two laurel leaves that should flank the insignia are missing, though they could be easily restored. The kepi also features a cushioned rim, which is quite unusual.
Included with the lot are a comb (found in one of the pockets) and a photograph believed to depict the officer to whom the uniform belonged.
The uniform is believed to have belonged to Joseph Simonet; however, this information comes from the previous owner and cannot be fully verified.
An interesting lot with several unique details.
