Original Belgian M1896 large mess tin. The mess tin was manufactured by Kaiser Aluminium, probably under license for Xavier Buisset, Vilvoorde. The tin is marked by both manufacturers and also bears a soldier's identification number. Overall the mess tin is in good condition, with some general wear and tear consistent with age and use.
