Belgian WWII Bonnet de Police Artillerie

Original Belgian WWII bonnet de police belonging to an artillery regiment. Unfortunately, it is impossible to determine the exact regiment as one of the insignia is missing. However, faint ghost marks and two holes from a previously mounted insignia are still visible. The bonnet retains its original tassel, which has darkened to a deep blue over time. The piping also appears to have been enhanced with some additional red colouring, possibly during captivity or the post-war period. The liner has been removed, although some of the original fabric remains. The bonnet also shows several moth holes and fraying around the edges.

Despite these flaws, it remains an interesting piece with plenty of character and signs of its history.
